Beer Bread Recipes

Beer Bread One

Ingredients
Mixture A
400g flour (sifted)
3 tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt

Mixture B
1 tablespoon baster sugar
2 tablespoons sesame seeds

50g unsalted butter (diced)
350 ml beer
30g flour for kneading process
Sea salt (optional)

Action
a. Preheat oven at 190°C or 374°F (gas oven),
for 8 minutes.

b. Oil the baking pan.

c. Mix A in a large mixing bowl.

d. Add B and mix well.

e. Mix the butter dices in the flour mixture,
with fingers.

f. Open a hole in the middle of the flour and pour,
all the beer in.

g. Stir it quickly with a wooden spoon,
till a soft dough is formed.

h. Lay the dough on a slightly floured table,
flour your hands, and knead the dough,
for 1 to 2 minutes. Until a smooth ball,
is formed.

i. Fold the dough, and roll it out.

j. Draw a line 2 cm deep at centre,
of the dough with a knife.

k. Brush water on top of the dough.

l. Sprinkle seeds and sea salt over it.

m. Place the baking pan in the middle shelf,
and bake for 20 minutes.

n. Place the pan on the first shelf,
and adjust the oven to 180°C or 356°F.

o. Bake for another 15-20 minutes,
until it sound hollow when you tick it.

p. Remove from oven, and cool,
at the rack.

Note: It is best to eat fresh.
You may also freeze it,
when desired.

Beer Bread Two

Ingredients
320g self rising flour
1 can of beer

Action
a. Preheat oven at 180°C, or 356°F,
for 8 minutes.

b. Brush the loaf pan, with margerine.

c. Place the flour into the mixing bowl.

d. Stir in the beer, and mix well.

e. Pour the dough into the pan,
and place on the middle shelf of the oven.

f. Bake for 50 minutes.

g. Remove from oven, and cool it on the rack.

Note: You may add black olives, cheddar cheese,
or dry roasemary to the dough, to get different aroma.
