Bran Muffin Recipes Bran Muffin One Ingredients 300g bran 120g wheat flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 180 ml milk 1 egg (beaten light) 60g white flour 1/2 teaspoon soda 2 tablespoons molasses, or brown sugar
Action a. Mix and sift together the flour, soda, and salt.
b. Add bran, molasses and milk.
c. Beat well and add egg.
d. Turn into hot buttered pan.
d. Bake in 180°C or 356°F oven, for about 35 minutes.
----------------- Bran Muffin Two Ingredients 400 bran 240g flour 2 teaspoons salt 500 ml sour milk 100g sugar 1 tablespoon oil 1 egg 1.5 teaspoons baking soda 1 teaspoon baking powder 125 ml water
Action a. Beat oil, egg and sugar together, until creamy.
b. Dissolve soda in boiling water, and add this to the sour milk, then bran, flour, salt, baking powder, and the egg, and sugar mixture.
c. Mix thoroughly and divide, into buttered muffin pans.
d. Bake in 200°C or 392°F oven, for 20 minutes.
Note: When using sweet milk, add 3 teaspoons, of baking powder instead of combining soda, and baking powder as specified above.
------------------ Oatmeal Muffins Ingredients 250g cooked oatmeal 250g bran flour 2 tablespoons white flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons cocoanut 100g raisins (seeded) 2 eggs (light beaten)
Action a. Mix eggs and cooked oatmeal.
b. Add the fry ingredients and place them, in the muffin pan.
c. Bake in 180°C or 356°F oven, for about 20-25 minutes.
Note: the dough should be very stiff. When too soft, add more bran.
You will see immediately more easy muffins.
