Restaurant Dessert Recipes

Pastry Cake
(French Style)

400g sugar
100g butter
3 egg yolks
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
125 ml sour milk or cream
100g cocoa
180 ml boiling coffee or water
240g flour
3 beaten egg whites
Flavour (optional)

a. Dissolve baking soda in sour milk.

b. Dissolve cocoa in boiling coffee,
and let it cool.

Filling Ingredients
600g powdered sugr
6 tablespoons cocoa
6 tablespoons butter
6 tablespoons boiling coffee,
or water


Baked Ice Cream
(Alaska Style)

Lady fingers
Ice cream (well frozen)
6 egg whites
500g powdered sugar

a. Cover bottom of the oven dish,
with lady finger or any other cake.

b. Put the ice cream on top,
of the cake.

c. Whipe the whites of 6 eggs,
to a very thick froth.

d. On a plate mix the sugar,
with the whipped froth.

e. Cover above ice cream with half,
of this, take the other in a pastry bag,
garnish over all.

f. Bake in 200°C or 392°F oven,
for 10-15 seconds till nice brown,
and serve immediately.
