First camping recipes or slow cooker recipes?

Fried Sweet Potato

4 potatoes
2 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons orange marmelade
Salt and pepper to taste

a. Wash and boil sweet potatoes,
with skins on.

b. When tender, drain, peel,
and slice.

c. Heat the butter in a skillet, add the marmalade,
then the sliced sweet potatoes.

d. Fry until brown, add seasoning,
to taste.



Sweet-Potato Croquettes
(8 servings)

Boiled sweet potatoes
(enough for 500g after mashed)
125 ml hot milk
2 tablespoonful butter
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
Some bread crumbs

a. Mash the potatoes smooth,
and light.

b. Beat into them the hot milk,
salt and butter.

c. Beat 1 egg until light, and beat this,
into the mixture, which should now be shaped,
into croquettes.

d. Beat the second egg in a soup-plate,
and cover the croquettes with this egg.

e. Roll them in the bread crumbs,
and fry in oil till they turn a rich brown.

f. Serve at once.

Candied Sweet Potato
(6 servings)

6 medium sized potatoes
2 large sour apples
(peeled and thinly sliced)
100g brown sugar
4 tablespoons butter
60 ml water

a. Parboil, peel, and cut the potatoes,
into slices.

b. Cover the bottom of the buttered baking dish,
with a layer of sweet potatoes.

c. Sprinkle with brown sugar,
and dot with pieces of butter ,
and a few grains of salt.

d. Add a layer of apples. Alternate potatoes,
and apples.

e. Adding butter and sugar,
until all ingredients are used.

f. Add water and cook in oven,
until apple is mushy.


Slow cooker recipes are meant for recipes,
that you need to simmer for long hours.
Therefore, almost every soup recipes,
can use slow cooker. Especially when you,
are too busy to look after your cooking.

I have a slow cooker at home,
needs no electricity power.
It is safe and save!

Slow Cooker Recipes One

Vegetable Soup

3 onions
3 turnips
1 carrot
4 potates
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon sugar

a. Put all ingredients in a stew-pan,
with butter and powdered sugar.

b. Cook for 10 minutes, add 2000 ml soup stock.

c. When it comes to boil, put aside,
to simmer for 30 minutes, until the vegetables,
are tender.


Slow Cooker Recipes Two

Black Soy Bean Soup

400g black soy neans
2000 ml cold water
1 small onion
2 small stalks celery
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon mustard
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
2 hard boiled eggs

a. Soak beans over night.

b. In the morning, drain, add celery,
and cold waater.

c. Cook 4 hours, until tender.

d. Rub through a strainer.

e. Cut onion in thin slices,
and brown slightly in the butter.

f. Add the flour, seasoning,
and bean water and pulp.

g. Reheat to boiling, strain,
and pour over the eggs slices.

Slow Cooker Recipes Three

Cream Soy Bean Soup

200g yellow soy beans
2 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons barley flour
1000 ml milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon onion (chopped)

a. Soak bean at least 12 hours.

b. Cook in water 4 hours, until tender.

c. Rub them through a sieve.

d. Brown the onion in the butter,
add flour, milk and bean pulp.

e. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.

f. Season and serve.


Is this good for camping recipes?

Asparagus Soup

1 bunch asparagus
750 ml milk
3 tablespoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon corn syrup
Toasted bread strips
Salt and pepper to taste

a. Cook the asparagus in boiling salted water.

b. Remove from liquor, cut tips,
into tureen and keep hot.

c. Mash through sieve the remaining stalks.

d. Put the milk to scald,
and when hot turn into the asparagus water.

e. Rub butter and cornstarch,
to a cream, stir in part of the hot liquid,
and cook.

f. Stirring constantly, until the cornstarch,
is thoroughly cooked.

g. Add the rest of the liquid,
the asparagus pulp, seasoning and syrup.

h. When boiling, pour over the tips.

i. Serve with toasted bread.

Sweet Potato in Casserole

Raw sweet potatoes
2 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder
60 ml water

a. Wash, pare the sweet potatoes,
and cut them in sticks.

b. Put into a casserole a layer,
of potatoes, sprinkle over them with brown sugar,
butter, and dust with the cinnamon.

c. Repeat this until all the potatoes,
are used.

d. Pour the water into the casserole,
put on the cover.

e. Bake in a 165°C oven, for 1 hour.
Stirring once or twice.

f. Remove the lid, and continue baking,
for another 30 minutes.

Onion and Tomatoes

1 tablespoon onion
1 teaspoon red sweet pepper
200g boiling tomatoes
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon butter

a. Slice onion and cook in water,
just enough to cover.

b. Add sweet pepper and cook,
until all are soft.

c. Add to boiling tomatoes,
salt, sugar, and butter.


French Fried Potatoes

1 large potato

a. Wash and peel the sweet potato.

b. Cut length-wise as you desired.

c. Fry in deep hot oil,
and sprinkle lightly with salt.


Add one more dessert for camping recipes?

Snow White Pudding

2 tablespoons gelatin or agar agar
750 ml boiling water
400g white sugar
2 lemons (juiced)
2 lemon rinds (grated)
4 beaten egg whites

a. In a dish, pour the boiling water,
on the gelatin.

b. Add sugar, the lemon rinds,
and juice.

c. Strain into a deep dish,
to cool.

d. When it commence to jelly,
add the egg whites.

e. Beat until the dish is full,
put in moulds and place in a cool place.
