Steak Recipes Dish One

Hamburg Steaks

1000g round of beef
(very fine chopped)
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon onion juice

Preparation One
a. Season the beef with the ingredients,
and shape into thin cakes.

b. Place them in a slightly buttered broiler,
and broil over heat for 8 minutes.

c. Serve on hot dish.

Preparation Two
a. Put four slices of fat pork,
into frying-pan.

b. When they are crispy and brown,
remove them.

c. Put the steaks into the fat,
and fry for 8 minutes.

d. When they are cooked, put them,
on a warm platter.

e. Put a tablespoon flour in the fat,
that remain in the frying-pan.
Stir until brown.

f. Add gradually 250 ml water,
season with salt and pepper,
and boil for 3 minutes.

g. Pour this gravy around the steaks,
and serve immediately.


Steak Recipes Dish Two

Beef Steak Roll

1500g round steak
250g pork sausage
1/2 loaf bread (sliced)
2 large onions
Salt and pepper

a. Crisp the bread slices in oven,
before grinding with onions.

b. Mix this with sausage and seasoning.
Spread this on the round steak.

c. Roll this, fastening with tooth picks,
and place in baking dish with drippings,
and 250 ml boiling water.

d. Bake in open dish for 2 hours,
turning roll to brown well.

Round Steak

500g round steak (grounded)
Salt and pepper
Worcestershire sauce
Two onion (minced)

a. Spread the round steak into thin layer,
and season surface with salt, pepper,
and worcestershire sauce.

b. Fold over and shape into a square,
about 2 cm thick.

c. Saute onions in butter, when golden brown push,
to one side.

d. Place round of steak in the skillet, brown one side,
until meat is cooked half way through the cake,
turn carefully.

e. Salt and pepper the top side,
cover with catsup and chilli sauce.

f. When under side is well brown,
serve immediately.

Round Steak Specials

2 medium round steaks
1 medium onion (chopped)
1 medium green pepper (chopped)
1 large canned tomatoes
1 packet macaroni
1 medium canned mushroom

a. Sear steaks in hot buttered skillet,
season with salt and pepper.

b. Cook macaroni in boiling salt water,
for 10 minutes. Drain and blanch with cold water.

c. In large casserole, place layer of vegetables,
then one steak then vegetables and steak,
and layer of vegetables on top.

d. Bake in 180°C oven or 356°F , for about 2 hours.

Roast Round Steak

1 round steak (4 cm thick)
Salt and pepper
120g flour

a. Season the steak with salt and pepper.

b. Brush flour on both sides.

c. Sear both sides in melted fat, and butter.

d. Put it in baking dish and cover with water.

e. Cook about 2-3 hours.

Steak Cake

750g round steak (grounded)
750g pork steak (grounded)
1 cupful bread crumbs
200g fresh tomatoes (minced)
2 green peppers (minced)
200g onions (minced)
1 egg
2 tablespoons salt

Mix all together and bake for 45 minutes,
into a flat cake.

Braised Beef

1kg round steak (about 8 cm thick)
Salt an pepper

a. Place the steak in a hot skillet,
and turn to sear on both sides.

b. In covered baking pan make a bed,
of chopped vegetables and season well.

c. Place upon it the beef with enough water,
to keep the mix steaming for 4 hours. Cover tight.

Corned Beef and Peas

Corned beef
Salt and pepper

a. Put a hash of corn beef, garlic,
parsley and oil in a sauce pan.

b. Season with a little salt and pepper.

c. When garlic is browned, put the peas in.

d. When they have absorbed the sauce,
complete the cooking with broth.


Beef Recipes Dish Two

Beef Stew One

1000g beef steak
60g fat meat
6 potatoes (pared and sliced)
1 onion (fine cut)
2 slices turnip (fine cut)
2 slices carrot (fine cut)
2 tablespoons flour
3 teaspoons salt
1 level teaspoon pepper
1000 ml boiling water

a. Cut the fat into bits and put it,
in a frying-pan, and on the fire.

b. Cook slowly until it left 2 tablespoons,
of liquid fat.

c. Remove the fibrous pieces of fat,
from the pan, and add onion, carrot,
and turnip to the liquid fat.

d. Cook slowly for 10 minutes,
add the flour and stirring until it is brown.

e. Add the water gradually, stirring all the while,
and simmer for 5 minuyes.

f. Cut the beef into small cubes,
and put it into a large stew-pan.

g. Pour the gravy from the frying pan,
over the meat. Add salt and pepper.

h. Simmer for 2 hours. Last add potatoes,
cook and stir frequently.

i. Add more salt and pepper, when desired.

j. At the end of 15 minutes,
add some dumplings.

k. Cover the stew-pan and cook,
for exactly 10 minutes.

l. Remove the dumplings, and turn the stew out,
of the warm platter.

m. Garnish with the dumplings,
and bits of parsley.


How do you find our steak recipes?

Beef Stew Two

750g beef (small pieces)
Salt and pepper

a. Place in the bottom of saucepan,
a layer of sliced potatoes, a few slices of onion,
a pinch of salt and pepper, with a layer of beef.

b. Continue in this way till all the meat,
are disposed.

c. Let the top layer be potatoes,
onion and seasoning.

d. Cover all with water, and let it stew,
for about 1-1.5 hours.


Beef Stew Three

1 piece of beef (between 3-4 kg)
4 potatoes
1 carrot
2 small turnips
2 onions

SeasonIng Ingredients
1 teaspoon cloves (grounded)
1 teaspoon allspice (grounded)
1 teaspoon black pepper (grounded)
1 teaspoon sweet marjoram (grounded)
1 teaspoon salt
Combine all ingredients, and mix well.

a. Remove the bones from the beef,
then rub it well with the mixture.

b. Roll it up tightly and tie it.

c. Put it into a pot half full,
of water, with potatoes,
carrot, turnips, and onions.

d. Let stew for 6 hours.

Beef Recipes Dish Three

Roast Beef

1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon flour
250 ml milk
Beef (fine chopped)
Salt and pepper
3 egg yolks
3 egg whites (beaten)

a. Melt the butter in a saucepan.

b. Add flour and milk, mix well till thicken.

c. Add beef into milk mixture, and salt,
and pepper to taste.

d. Stir in egg yolks, cook slightly, and cool.

e. Add egg whites, put them in greased dish.

f. Bake about 30 minutes, in 180°C preheated oven.

g. Serve with tomato sauce or peas.


Beef Recipes Dish Four

Curried Beef Rolls

170g canned corned beef
1 onion (diced)
1.5 teaspoon curry powder
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon sugar
3 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon cornflour
White bread (sliced)
1/2 tablespoon oil

a. Add oil, stir in curry powder,
chilli powder in a very hot pan,
till fragrant.

b. Stir in onions, corned beef,
soy sauce, and sugar.

c. When beef is very hot, stir in slowly the milk,
and corn flour mixture.

d. When it is well mixed, let cool.

e. Remove crust of the bread and coast each slice,
with butter and 1-2 teaspoon beef ingredients.

f. Roll and wrap with baking sheet.

g. Warm about 10 minutes in oven,
and serve hot.

Note: You can prepare in advance,
and keep in
the freezer. Warm it when it is necessary.

Beef Recipes Dish Five

Stir-fried Beef

Ingredients A
1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
1 teaspoon light soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
2 teaspoons ginger (minced)
1 teaspoon cooking wine
1/4 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon corn flour
2 tablespoons oil
Mix all ingredients and put aside,
for marinade use.

Ingredients B
300g beef fillet
1 tablespoon white sesame seeds
1 stalk spring onion (shredded)
1 red chilli (shredded)250 ml oil

a. Wash and pre-fry the sesame seeds,
until fragrant.

b. Cut beef into thin slices and add,
into ingredients A to marinate,
for about 30 to 45 minutes.

c. Heat oil hot, pre-fry the beef fillet,
and drain off the excess oil.

Ingredients C
2 stalks of lemon grass (chopped)
1 teaspoon garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon shallots (fine chopped)
Mix all together, and fry until fragrant.

Ingredients D
1 teaspoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon corn flour
1 tablespoon water
Mix all together and put aside for gravy purpose.

a. After stir-ried the ingredients C,
add beef slices and fry for 1/2 minute.

b. Stir in wine and ingredients D.
Mix thoroughly.

c. Garnish with sesame seeds,
spring onions and red chilli.

Beef Stock or Broth

1 piece beef (4 kg)
Cold water

a. Put the beef into cold water,
and boil very slowly for about 4 hours.

b. Remove the scum as it raises.

c. The liquor which the beef is boiled in,
is very nice for gravies, and soups.
